MOSCOW, Jun 28 (PRIME) -- London-based beverage alcohol producer Diageo has ceased operations in Russia and completely stopped shipping and selling its products in the country, alcohol market sources told PRIME on Tuesday.
Diageo’s brands include Smirnoff, Black Label, Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Baileys and Captain Morgan.
The company made the decision on "a global level to gradually reduce its commercial operations in Russia,", according to its newsletter seen by PRIME.
In March, Diageo announced a temporary suspension of shipments of its products to Russia.
